7 Best Home Remedies for Dog Skin Allergies (All-natural)
Best Home Remedies for Dog Skin Allergies
Today I wanted to share six of my favorite dog skin
and allergy home remedies.
Baking soda: The first thing is baking
soda and what you'll do is take about eight ounces of water in a spray bottle
add two tablespoons of baking powder make sure that you should get really well
before you spray it and you can apply that as needed. The baking soda helps to
dry out any kind of discharge or anything from the rash may be caused by the
allergy. It is also helps to heal the skin and remove the itchiness.
Oatmeal bath: The other thing that you
can try is an oatmeal bath. You can just add a few cups of oatmeal to the dog's
bathwater and make sure that when you're pouring the water over the dog. Just
kind of massage it into his skin. Make sure you rinse really well allow it to
soak in there for at least 20 minutes. If you can keep your dog in the tub
entertains that would be ideal the longer, that you can keep them in there. The
more the oats are gonna have time to soak into the skin and help heal it. So
that you see oatmeal included in a lot of grooming products made for dogs with
sensitive skin and that's because it helps to calm the irritation and soothe
the itching.
Aloe vera gel: The home remedy that i
would like to share is aloe vera gel. The vera gel a lot of times what we put
on sunburns and of course it helps to take away the heat and the pain of the
sunburn. But it also helps to heal the skin and it can do the same thing for
dogs with allergies. You don't want to buy the stuff that's made for sunburns a
lot of times, that's mixed with other things to take some of the pain away and
chemicals different dyes you want straight aloe vera gel. Which you can buy in
stores or if you happen to have it a plant. Just break the leaves and you can
use that gel that comes out of the leaves. That will help to heal the skin and
promote future health.
Coconut oil: Coconut oil is great. Coconut
oil you can rub it directly on topically and just let it sit for about ten
minutes. If your dog has skin allergies and it's covering a wide parts body. Just
rub the oil in make sure you work it through the fur down onto the skin and get
in there with the healing let it sit for about twenty minutes and then you can
give him rinse. It with warm water and rinse it off so it's not so greasy and
it doesn't get all over your furniture or your betting things.
Apple cider vinegar: Like that apple cider
vinegar is great for stripping allergens. If your dog has especially seasonal
allergies environmental allergies apple cider vinegar is great for stripping.
Those off of the fur and the skin but also leaving behind it has antibacterial
anti fungal properties and it's great for the health of the skin. It will dry it
out and make it itchy or make the condition worse so if you're looking for
something to strip those environmental allergies apple cider vinegar is a great
choice.
Colostrum powder: The last thing I want to
talk about is called colostrum powder and this is something that you can get in
some health food stores .you can also order it online and you can order the
powder specifically for dog’s cloths. The powder contains something called PRP.
It is proliant rich polypeptides and PRP. PRP works as an anti-inflammatory to
reduce histamines that trigger allergies. So it's got a lot of really great
benefits again for more information on the science behind it
Thank you.
